About Us

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is a private, not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. Since its founding, more than 300,000 women have joined the organization. The major programs of the sorority are based upon the organization’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has been at the forefront of creating programming to improve political, educational, and social and economic conditions. Delta Sigma Theta has been pivotal in assisting the African American and International communities through education, lobbying, and economic initiatives, including Delta Days at the State and Nation’s Capital, Delta Days at the United Nations, Summits and various conferences which focus on pertinent issues of the day.
