Report Hazing
Stanford takes violations of the hazing policy extremely seriously, and encourages anyone who has been hazed, has witnessed hazing, or suspects someone they know has been hazed, to feel empowered to report these observations to university officials.
Hazing includes any activity done in connection with a sports team or student organization, regardless of whether the organization is officially recognized at Stanford, that causes or is reasonably likely to cause another student to suffer bodily danger, physical harm, or significant personal degradation or humiliation, even if no bodily danger, physical harm, or significant degradation or humiliation in fact results.
Reports of hazing by varsity sports teams will be investigated by the Department of Athletics, Physical Education, and Recreation (DAPER). All other reports of hazing will be investigated by the Office of Community Standards (OCS).
